Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening – Where To Trade The Ribbon

The trade sequence is afoot by this point in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. You don’t have to do it right away, but you will definitely have to get started before the game’s third dungeon to eventually get the Slime Key. That’s getting way ahead of things though, as right now we are simply concerned with the Ribbon we got for trading the Yoshi Doll. This guide will let you know just where to go to trade the Ribbon for yet another item.

Just like with the Yoshi Doll, you aren’t going to have to go too far for this next step of the trade sequence. However, you will not get an obvious hint like you did on the previous one. Instead, leave the house you got the Yoshi Doll from and return down the steps to return to Mabe Village proper.

What you need to do now is head towards the house with BowWow right out front and look for the little “doghouse” attached to the right side with a separate door. Enter this door and you will run into a smaller version of the Chain Chomp named CiaoCiao. She is wanting the Ribbon to wear, so give it to her and in return you will get the Dog Food, the third item in the trade sequence for The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening.
