Ever since the first game in the series debuted on the NES back in 1986, Link has pretty much always work his now iconic green tunic. Sure, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild changed a lot about the series, but it wouldn’t change that. Right? Well, that’s what a lot of players have thought, but right now it’s not fully known. So here’s all the info on where is the green tunic in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
As of right now it is debated whether the official, classic green tunic is in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It’s been seen in the game files, supposedly, so it’s likely in there in some way, but no one has come forward with definite proof. Still, there is hope out there for those who really want to have a nice green tunic for Link.
The best hope right now is to use amiibo. Many Zelda amiibo give you random, rare, powerful items and gear for Link to use and wear in the game. These seem like the best shot at getting a green tunic in Breath of the Wild, but so far I have yet to get one from a drop. It’s seemed like wishful thinking so far, but some people are claiming that it has or will work, so it’s worth trying out, if you have some Zelda amiibo laying around.
Otherwise the question remains of where to get the green tunic in Breath of the Wild. If it’s in a store or dungeon then no one has definitively found it yet, but watch for an update to this article when they do. Thankfully you still have a chance at getting close to the classic green tunic.
In Hateno Village, which you should run across fairly early in the game if you’re following the main quest, there’s a shop where you can dye your clothes. The best way to get the green tunic so far in Breath of the Wild is to pick something that resembles it, take it here, and dye it green. Not a perfect answer, I know, but it’s the best we have so far. If you have a better one then please shout out in the comments below.
