Telltale games are often filled with puzzles, but it’s rare for them to be truly taxing on the mind. The games are meant to be more like movies, where the story matters most, with players making some choices and decisions that can shape the experience, but not alter it too much. So the gameplay is often rather bare bones, and puzzles are more streamlined to be less like stumbling blocks, and more like quick challenges. Minecraft: Story Mode Season 2 – Episode 5 “Above and Beyond” however does have a puzzle that’s a bit tough, and it’s right near the end of the game. Here’s a quick guide on how to solve the word of passage puzzle, with the solution down below. Spoilers follow…
#Potato451, that’s all you have to go on as a hint when you arrive at The Terminal, near the end of Minecraft: Story Mode Season 2 – Episode 5. You stand there, a picture frame and series of blocks before you, but what do you do? I tried multiple solutions that I thought were right, such as breaking a block on each numbered level for 4, 5, and 1. I even made them into a sequence, where I broke the first block on the fourth line, and so on. None of these worked though, and the solution was staring me in the face.
Here it is…
Basically what Telltale wants you to do is make stacks four blocks tall, five blocks tall, and one block tall. As far as the #Potato, you use the poisoned potato, placing it in the picture frame, to accomplish that part of the puzzle. Put it in, break the blocks as seen above, and you’ll be good to go for the conclusion of Minecraft: Story Mode Season 2 – Episode 5.
