Mortal Kombat 11: How to Break Juggle Combos

One of the many aspects about fighting games is that all of the fighters come with awesome combos, or combo starters. This usually leads to launching their opponent into the air where they continue the barrage in what’s called a Juggle. Juggling has been around for years in the fighting game community, and while some fans swear by the tactic, many others have quite the disdain for them. Mortal Kombat 11 is no different as many warriors come equipped with special Juggle Combos that can ruin anyone’s day, but we’ll explain how to flat out cancel them in a fight.

How to break a Juggle Combo in Mortal Kombat 11

The ability to break a Juggle Combo is only made possible thanks to the Defense Meter. This handy tool allows players to escape specific moves that would otherwise put them in a bad situation. Keep in mind that once you use any escape maneuver during a fight, the meter drains either halfway, or completely empties it. Don’t worry, it fills back up over time, but it’s best to save it for certain circumstances.

When you find yourself in a Juggle Combo press Down and the Right Trigger button (R2 PS4, RT Xbox One, R Switch). If inputted correctly, your fighter will perform a Juggle Escape and break the combo while you’re in midair. This could potentially set up your own combo and turn the tide of battle in your favor. Remember, the Defense Meter will be depleted once you use this technique, so be prepared for the aftermath while it fills back up.
