Mortal Kombat 11 comes with 24 playable fighters to choose from, 25 if you include the pre-order DLC for Shao Kahn. These games always have a bunch of different costumes to choose from, but the timeline shenanigans provide us with the opportunity to get even more unique skins in the game. This guide will explain how you can equip different skins in Mortal Kombat 11.

How To Equip Skins In Mortal Kombat 11

When you first fire up Mortal Kombat 11 and go to the character selection screen, you must first select a character. At this point, you will notice two default variations available that have not only different moves, but also different skins attached to them. You cannot just open up a menu right here of the available skins and pick them however, as that must be setup in the Kustomize section first.

Start by selecting Kustomize from the main menu and then Characters once you get into the sub menu. From here, select a character and either choose an existing variation or scroll over to create a Kustom Variation. After selecting and icon for that variation, select the variation itself once again to open up the customization menu.

At this point, press the right bumper to scroll the next next heading titled Kosmetics. This should automatically place the cursor over the Skins option on the left side, with it displaying how many skins for that specific character you have unlocked. Click on this icon and you can then select from any of the skins you currently have available.

There are some very different skins available in the bunch, with some just being more color pallette swaps for others. For more in depth customization, you will have to look into editing your character’s Gear.

After you create your Kustom Variation with the skin for any fighter, you can then choose it from the list when you are selecting a fighter on the character select screen.
