Mortal Kombat as a series has been known over the years for having one of the best story modes in the genre and Mortal Kombat 11 is certainly no different. The story mode has a very interesting final chapter that includes a few different endings that you can get as well. This guide will detail how you can get the bad story mode ending.

How To Unlock Bad Story Mode Ending

The final chapter is made up of multiple different fights as per usual in Mortal Kombat 11, with the final one being pretty interesting in how it’s handled. We won’t go into too many spoilers on exactly what happens or who you will be fighting as, but we will explain how you can get this ending. Of course, Kronika is the final boss of the game to no one’s surprise as the main antagonist, and this final fight pits you against her for the first time outside of the Klassic Towers endings.

This Kronika fight is quite difficult if you are playing on the higher difficulties, so there is a very good chance you could lose. A typical match just has you win or lose round one and go straight to round two. Losing a match here though will force a change of scenery that will change the outcome of this chapter.

When you normally lose two matches, whether going 0-2 or 1-2, the game just goes to the retry menu right away. However, this final chapter continues to be different in how this is handled. If you lose twice here, there is instead an actual cutscene with Kronika where you decapitates your head and you lose. You will then be prompted with the usual retry option if you so choose. This was something kind of neat to include, as it gave you something different for those that do lose the first times playing this fight before they can improve and get better.
