Games With Gold List New For This Month

Games with Gold is a relatively new phenomenon for Xbox Live Gold subscribers.   While the service has always functioned as a gateway to online access for the Xbox, Xbox 360, and now Xbox One — Microsoft has recently sweetened the offer by giving away free games to play on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One each month as part of package.

Like PlayStation’s rival service, each month players can download these free Games with Gold titles for a limited time.  But, once they’re in your library they’re yours to keep.  The one caveat about Games with Gold is that each month’s releases are staggered, giving subscribers a smaller window to access the free games.  If you miss the window on these Games with Gold titles, you can’t go back and grab it for free.

Now, with Xbox One’s new backwards compatibility feature all of the Games with Gold titles are playable on Xbox One.  So any Xbox 360 game that is offered for free to subscribers can be played through the Xbox One’s emulator.  So what games are free with Games with Gold this month?  You can check out the Games with Gold list below and then head to the Xbox Store to download the free games.  You don’t even need to fully download the games to have access to them so long as you claim them, you can go back and download at any time.

Games with Gold is an easy way to build your game collection while paying for something that you’d probably be paying for anyway in terms of Xbox Live Gold.
