NieR: Automata just received a brand new DLC pack for players to check out, which comes with the very strange title of 3C3C1D119440927. However, accessing the DLC has proved challenging for some, as it isn’t something that you can just boot up and jump right into. This guide will show you how to get going with the game’s latest content.

First of all, you need to have a save file where you have already beaten the game. If you haven’t beaten the game or deleted your save file after you finished it, then you unfortunately need to progress through the entire game first and get the C or D endings. Once you’ve done that, you then need to use the chapter select option and select a chapter where you have access to the open world. There are several chapters you could choose, so this really all comes down to your personal preference.

Once the DLC is installed and you’re at the proper point in the game, you should receive an email from an anonymous sender that you can check at one of the game’s terminals. Reading this email will kick off a new side quest that will place three new markers on your map, and all you have to do now is go to those markers to initiate the new content.

As for what fans can expect to get with this new DLC, the major additions are the new colosseum challenges and new sub-quests. The colosseum challenges in particular are very strange, as they actually let you duke it out with the CEOs of Square Enix and PlatinumGames. It’s when you actually complete these objectives that you gain access to the unlockable content, which is the following:

  • Costumes from the Japanese release (NieR Replicant, for androids 2B, 9S, and A2)
  • Records that add special music tracks to the players’ jukebox.
  • New equipment and cosmetic accessories such as hairspray that allows you to change the color of 2B and A2’s hair.
  • Masks with unique “on equip” effects.
  • Special bullets that change the appearance of enemy bullets.

NieR: Automata is available for PlayStation 4 and PC, with the DLC being available now for both platforms.
