No Man’s Sky is a massive game that can have you spending many hours collecting materials and valuable items, making progression to new planets. Â While like most modern games No Man’s Sky has a auto-save feature, you can also manually save your game by simply finding waypoints.
Any planet that you visit will have numerous waypoints to be discovered. Â Once you activate a waypoint, your progress will be saved at that point. Â Any items that you have, currency you’ve made, or progress on a planet that has been made will be saved.
No Man’s Sky also keeps two game saves on file. Â In the Options Menu, you’ll find both a “Current Save” and a “Previous Save.” Â If you ever want to undo something that’s been done in No Man’s Sky you can always go back to your Previous Save, assuming it’s far back enough to undo your “mistake.”
Finding Waypoints is not only beneficial in saving your game, but you’ll also earn credits for finding these areas. Â In the Discoveries Menu, you can see all of the Waypoints you’ve discovered on a given planet, and you can also rename them to your liking, as well as upload them for units of currency.
