Pokemon Go Guide: How To Make Pokemon Stronger

The basic premise of Pokemon since the very beginning has been to capture a variety of different Pokemon and then raise them to be stronger. This is typically done by battling in other games, but with battling limited to the gyms for now in Pokemon Go, you must go another route to make them stronger.

Throughout Pokemon Go, you will earn different items such as Poke Balls and Potions, but there are also items called Stardust and Candy that we’ve told you how to obtain in other guides. Once you obtain these, then you can upgrade your Pokemon.

To essentially level up your Pokemon, first click the Poke Ball on the bottom of the screen to bring up the menu and select Pokemon on the left. Now, choose the Pokemon in which you want to make stronger.

This will bring up their entry, which includes their moves and when and where you initially caught them. You will also find an option to Power Up, which is exactly what we’re going to do.

Beside this, it will show how much Stardust and Candy for that respective Pokemon is necessary to power them up. You should only need 1 candy for each time, but the amount of Stardust will go up the more you level that Pokemon. Continue to do this, and your Pokemon’s CP and HP will both rise and make you a real force in gym battles.
