With Season of Go in Pokemon Go ramping up, players are trying to get their hands on the newest Pokemon introduced into the game. Those include the two new Rock-Type fossil Pokemon from generation six Tyrunt and Amaura. After Go Fest finished up on June 5, Niantic is now moving into Adventure Week after being on break since 2019. Adventure Week will run from June 7 until June 12. In this guide, we will be answering how trainers can catch Tyrunt and whether it can be shiny in Pokemon Go.

How to Catch Tyrunt and Can It Be Shiny in Pokemon Go?

Adventure-Week-Pokemon-Go-2022

The fan-favorite event will allow players to once again find some of their favorite Rock-Type fossil Pokemon with more frequency than usual. Players will also be able to get Tyrunt and Amaura in 7km eggs during Adventure Week 2022. The two sixth-generation fossil Pokemon are making their debut during Adventure Week 2022.

One big question on many collectors’ minds is whether they can get their hands on the shiny version of each of these Pokemon. Read further below to see whether these two Pokemon can be shiny in Pokemon Go.

Can Tyrunt Be Shiny in Pokemon Go?

As of right now, no. Tyrunt will not have a shiny version in Pokemon Go. Like many other newly-introduced Pokemon in Pokemon Go, Niantic does not allow for the shiny versions of these Pokemon until later events in the future.

Tyrunt is making its debut in Pokemon Go through a Field Research task encounter as well as through 7km egg hatchings. But trainers cannot catch a shiny version yet. This means trainers cannot evolve Tyrunt into a shiny Tyrantrum since the only way to get a Tyrantrum is by evolving a Tyrunt during this event.

Other fossil Pokemon that will be available to be shiny are Tirtouga and Archen, which were introduced in January 2020.

Pokemon Go is available on all mobile devices.
