Pokemon Go: Is the Duskull Community Day Box Worth It?

Recommended Videos

Pokémon Go’s annual Community Day is nearly upon us. This year, the October 9th day will include Duskull as its featured Pokémon. The Requiem Pokémon has clearly been chosen for its spooky elements but it’s not a choice that has gone down well with fans due to the Pokémon’s regularity already in the Pokémon Go world.

Like previous years, the Community Day will have a special, limited-edition Box for fans to purchase. It’s only available on the Community Day, so you’ll have to be active on the day to claim it.

What’s Included in the Duskull Community Day Box?

Included in this year’s Community Day Box is:

  • 50 Ultra Balls
  • Four Incense
  • Four Star Pieces
  • An Elite Charged TM

The box will cost a total of 1,280 PokéCoins. Trainers can also get their hands on 30 free Ultra Balls from the store.

Is the Community Day Box worth it?

If you don’t have enough PokéCoins to buy the box, it costs $9.99/£9.99 to purchase 1200 PokéCoins, which is quite a setback.

It is handy to purchase the Box as it includes things like Ultra Balls which aren’t always available to buy and can be quite difficult to come by in the game.  Incense can be bought in-game for a price of 40 PokéCoins, or 8 for 250 PokéCoins.

All in all, the Box is worth it alone for the Ultra Balls and the fact that it is only available during the event. It is probably more worthwhile for those that are regular users of Pokémon Go than those that will sporadically use it.

Make sure you don’t miss the Duskull Community Day on October 9th. The event will run from 11 AM to 5 PM your local time.

Pokémon GO is available for free on Android and iOS devices.
