At the end of your journey in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee you will have done battle with tons of trainers from across the land. These trainer battles are a key element of the game, giving you experience and money that helps boost your team and character. But what do you do if you’ve fought every fight? Can you rebattle trainers in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee?

The answer is both simple and not simple at the same time. If you’re asking about random trainers out in the world, the kind who sit by the side of routes between cities, strolling toward you whenever you break their eyeline, then no. Random trainers cannot be rebattled, even after you finish the main quest and become the Pokemon Master of Kanto. However, you do have options for fighting trainers, even rebattling some of them.

The Elite 4, gym leaders, and various trainers that are thrown at the player at the end of the game can be rebattled. These ultra powerful characters have excellent teams of high level Pokemon. To offset this you also get a good amount of XP and money each time you defeat them. If you want to rebattle trainers, these are your best options anyway, so it’s good that Pokemon Let’s Go allows you to rebattle them.

So, can you rebattle trainers in Pokemon Let’s Go? Yep, but only specific ones. If you’ve fought every battle there was to fight then you’ve only got a few options left to you. But they’re pretty good options and totally worth the effort.
