While Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee is a remake of the original Red, Blue, and Yellow versions of the series, many are experiencing the Kanto region for the very first time. This means some of the story events and puzzles that veterans have gone through many times before will cause stumbles from newcomers. And one of these story events is particularly troublesome. Here’s how to get past the ghost in Pokemon Tower in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee.

After arriving at the Pokemon Tower and making it to the third floor players will be confronted by a large ghost who blocks the way. Pikachu is frightened by the ghost and won’t let you move one step past it. Luckily there is a way through, but it involves leaving the Tower and traveling westward.

Head west out of town and toward Celedon City. Here you’ll find the home of Team Rocket hidden within the Celedon City Game Corner. Progress through this miniquest and you will be rewarded with the Silph Scope, a device that let’s you see ghosts’ true forms. Take this back to the Pokemon Tower in Lavender Town and you will now be able to catch those pesky Gastly and Haunters that used to block your way. This includes the large ghost at the top.

And that’s how to get past the ghosts in Pokemon Tower.
