While there are many roadblocks placed in your path to becoming the very best, few are as frustrating as the random bushes and trees that block your path early on in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee. These trees can be chopped down though, using a technique learned a bit later in the game. If you run into them early on, just ignore them, but be ready to backtrack once you know what to do. Here’s where to get cut in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee.

The cut technique can only be learned in one place, and it is conveniently along the normal route of the main quest. The SS Anne is where you get cut in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee, with the captain sharing his knowledge with you once you meet him. You’ll need to help him out a bit, but that’s easy and shouldn’t take long at all. Once you finish he’ll teach you Chop Down.

More accurately, he’ll teach either your Pikachu or Eevee Chop Down. This special technique will act just like Cut from the original Game Boy titles. To use it, just walk up to the plants that block your way and hit A. You will then be offered the option to use Chop Down to cut the tree and clear the way.

And that’s where to get Cut in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee.
