PSA: Don’t Skip ANY Favors in God of War Ragnarok

There are two types of quests in God of War Ragnarok: the Path, which is the main story questline, and Favors, which are all of the side quests. Our review gave high praise to the Favors in God of War Ragnarok. Extending it to its own PSA article is necessary.

The Favors in God of War Ragnarok redefine what side quests are capable of. Unlike other games filled with fetch quests or boring kill quests that don’t have much substance, the Favors in God of War Ragnarok focus on delivering just as intense, story-driven moments that feel necessary.

While Favors might reward you with a heavy runic attack or some piece of armor, the main draw of Favors is experiencing more story. I found myself stopping the Path to focus on completing Favors because they are so well-written and offer deeper insight into the characters you love. You’ll want to complete the Favors just because the story is that good, not because you need the loot they provide.

Santa Monica Studio is so confident in their Favors that if you have questions at the end of God of War Ragnarok’s Path, you’ll find the answers by completing the Favors. In fact, if you want the true ending of God of War Ragnarok, you need to complete a Favor.

Never before have we seen important story moments embedded in side quests like this. The Favors will have you completing mini expeditions where you’ll discover more about the world and the characters you love. It is important for you to know that the Favors are essential to see all of God of War Ragnarok.

Though completing Favors will answer your questions and deepen your understanding of characters, you shouldn’t hold off on completing Favors until the end of the game. God of War Ragnarok does an excellent job of introducing Favors slowly so you aren’t overwhelmed with side quests to complete.

In conclusion, hopefully, you get a sense of how amazing and necessary Favors are in God of War Ragnarok. Without spoiling anything, you are in for a real treat if you complete the Favors in God of War Ragnarok.

God of War Ragnarok is available now on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
