Red Dead Redemption 2 How to Access Inventory Satchel

On your travels in Red Dead Redemption 2 you will be collecting a lot of different items.  Many of the weapons and items that you want to quickly equip or use can be found on the game’s item and weapon wheel, but there are many other things that you’ll need to have access to throughout the course of the game.

These are the items that are in your Satchel.  Your Satchel can be accessed by pressing and holding right on the D-pad.  This will bring up an inventory menu that consists of recent items, provisions (food), Tonics, Ingredients, Crafting Materials, Kit items, Valuables that can be sold, and Documents that can be read.

From the Satchel you can read things like the Legendary Animal, Legendary Fish, and Treasure Maps in the game.  It also allows you to read books, newspapers, and letters that you’ve found on your journey.

Your horse also has an inventory in its saddle bags.  To check the horse’s inventory you simply approach the horse and press and hold right on the D-pad and you can see anything that’s stored on your horse.
