If you’re looking to experience the world of Red Dead Online without the threat of other players constantly looming there aren’t that many options for you. Unfortunately, the open world of Red Dead Online can be rough place, and there are only a handful of ways that you can avoid other players. This guide will show you how to get a little break from other players and go passive in Red Dead Online.
How to Avoid PvP in Red Dead Redemption 2 Online
The first place that you can stay passive in Red Dead Online is at your camp. Other players cannot attack you while you are at your camp, if you’ve got your white flag raised. To raise your white flag at stay in Passive Mode you can either go to the flag in your camp and physically raise and lower it. Or, you can head into the Free Roam menu by pressing the left on the d-pad and go to Camp Settings and change the White Flag Passive settings there.
When the White Flag is raised, other players will not be able to attack you while you are in your camp. When the flag is lowered, other players can attack you. There is no time limit on this, you will be free to do anything that you need to do in your camp without the threat of other players.
You can also parley to go get some peace and quiet in RDR2 Online
The second way to go passive in Red Dead Online is to enter into a Parley with any player that has killed you 3 times. This option will require that you take a little punishment, but you will be given a 10 minute reprieve from other player being able to attack you. Once a player has killed you 3 times the game will ask you whether you want to Parley. Choose this option and they won’t be able to attack you until 10 minutes have expired.
