There are a ton of missions in Red Dead Redemption 2 and you can replay all of them to get gold medals if you don’t do it on your first try. For all of the main missions in the game you’ll be rewarded with a gold, silver, or bronze medal upon completing it. Each mission has objectives that must be met to earn these medals. If you don’t get gold on your first try, you can replay any mission.
To replay missions in Red Dead Redemption 2 head into the Progress Section of the Pause Menu. Select Story Progress. This will pull up a section of chapters and the missions within them that you’ve completed. The icon to the right of mission title is the medal that you earned. You can press the X Button to see mission objectives.
To get gold medals on all missions just complete the mission objectives. If you don’t get gold the first time you can use this method to replay story missions in the game. Before you replay a mission the game creates a restore point for you. Once the replayed mission is over you will be returned to that checkpoint.
To check the challenges while you are in a mission tap left on the d-pad and then select the mission from the log. Press the RB to tab over to the mission checklist to see the requirements for each mission.
