Who’s ready for Riders Republic? Lovers of SSX, Descenders, or the MX vs ATV games have a lot to look forward to in Riders Republic. Whether you are excited for action-packed hill bombing, open-world exploring, or kicking it with your friends, this game will be a blast. Here are all the details you need to know about Riders Republic.

Riders Republic Release Time

Riders Republic is releasing tomorrow, Oct. 28, 2021. Originally slated for a February release date that got pushed to a September window, we finally are able to get our hands on Riders Republic. Let’s hope all of the delays were worth it. Players can expect to start playing at midnight local time. So whether you stay up or wake early the next day, prepare to ride into Riders Republic!

Riders Repubic Install Size

According to the Xbox Store, Riders Republic will approximately take up 23.87 GB of storage. With games usually weighing in at 30-50 GB, I wouldn’t be surprised if this game was a little bigger, so keep that in mind. If you need to clear space for Riders Republic, do it before you start downloading.

Pre-Load Details

For all platforms, you can pre-load Riders Republic right now. Once you begin pre-loading the game, right at midnight, you will be able to play it. For players who already have the trial version of Riders Republic downloaded, they will likely need an additional download in order to access the full game.

How Big is the Riders Republic Map?

With the when, where, and how out of the way, let’s get into the why and what to expect of Riders Republic. The map in this game is around 250 square kilometers, which roughly translates to over 60,000 acres of pure country to tear up. The game is set in the Sierra Nevada and Rocky Mountains of America, including Mammoth, Grand Tetons, Yosemite, and the Colorado River just to name a few locales. There are so many places to discover and you’ll have the gear to do it, whether that be with bike, snowboard, or wingsuit.

All Game Modes in Riders Republic

Aside from traveling wherever you want and exploring the beautiful world of Riders Republic, there is, of course, many game modes to choose from. Mass Races occur every thirty minutes in random places throughout the map, encouraging riders to discover new places and compete for Bucks, the in-game currency. In these races, up to 50 players can race, whether they be online currently or ghost replacements filled by a previously recorded player’s run. Trick Battles pin teams of six against each other. Each player tries to score as many points as possible by doing tricks and the team with the highest score wins.

Riders Republic will also feature a Career mode which will grant players experience points. As your career level climbs, more races will be unlocked for you and you will have access to new gear and Bucks.

Social Hub and Multiplayer

Riders Republic may be the first of its kind to successfully encapsulate a massively multiplayer sports game. Naturally, a huge aspect of this game is social. Along with seeing other riders throughout the world, there will be a hub called Riders Ridge where players can hang out and access the shop. Players can also roam the wilds with up to five other friends in their social group. These groups can participate in Versus modes and differing multiplayer modes together.

For players looking to rock the mountain solo, no worries. While Riders Republic is a multiplayer game and you’ll be missing out on a huge aspect of the game if you play disconnected, players can play offline. There is a mode called Zen where you can ride anywhere your heart desires enjoying the bliss of solitude.

Does Riders Republic Have Cross-Play?

Yes, there is cross-play. So no matter if your friends are playing on Xbox or PC and you’re on PlayStation or Google Stadia, you can matchmake and find your friends anywhere. Also, cross-progression is available in this game, making it possible to have your Riders Republic profile transfer over to multiple platforms.

Customization and Cosmetics

A major part of any extreme sports game is the swag. In Riders Republic, players will have two options in purchasing cosmetics: Bucks and Republic Coins. Unfortunately, there are microtransactions in the form of Republic Coins which will allow players to purchase unique skins. Luckily, everything is still attainable with Bucks, but you’ll have to earn those by grinding out races and trick contests.

Players have many options when it comes to customization. For each challenge mode, players can customize a specific look for their character as well as specific gear. Plus, players will be able to customize their avatar to look however they want as well as emotes to celebrate their victories or to say hi to friends. Also, make sure to look out for the 11 relics hidden throughout the world to really show off to your friends.

Riders Republic Year 1 Pass

Like most live games these days, Riders Republic will have a yearly pass. The first pass is aptly called Year 1 Pass and will grant players eight exotic kits throughout the year. They will also receive the Rocket Bike and Rocket Skis on day one. The BMX Sport add-on expansion will also be included in the Year 1 Pass.

Well, there you have it. Now you know every detail that will help you conquer the ridge. Snag Riders Republic today and start shredding with your friends by tomorrow!

Riders Republic is available Oct. 28, 2021, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, Google Stadia, Amazon Luna, and PC.
