There are two parts to the final boss in Rise of the Tomb Raider. First off, Konstantin will be bombarding Lara Croft inside his helicopter as well as sending all of this men to her. The second part of the boss the fight is face-to-face.
First up, the battle when Konstantin is inside the helicopter is not too hard. It’s pretty straightforward, but you just need to be careful where you are hiding to avoid his gunfire and missiles. You also have to stay on your toes when lots of his henchmen come trying to kill you as well.
The key to destroying his helicopter is explained to you from the start. Sofia is using a trebuchet to throw fireballs in the sky. You have to press X to call for her to throw it so you can shoot it from the sky.
The best weapon to shoot at the fireball is the AK-47. You want to shoot the fireball in close proximity to the helicopter. This will result in the fireball exploding and the helicopter will catch on fire.
After you hit his helicopter the first time, he will retreat and then you have to kill his henchmen. This is pretty standard stuff so go out there and kill everyone. Once everyone is dead, Konstantin comes back.
It takes time for Sofia to reload the trebuchet so you have to hide. Watch out for his machine guns and rockets. Just get behind cover until Sofia tells you she is ready. When she’s ready, repeat the step of shooting the fireball from the sky.
After that, more henchmen come. Again, just get rid of them and then the helicopter comes back. Do the same step again and then the helicopter finally crashes. However, this boss fight is not over.
Now Lara Croft has to fight Konstantin be herself. This fight is a bit tricky because Konstantin confiscates her weapons. She has to fight him with nothing. You also have to try and avoid being seen with his laser sights.
First of all, don’t press Y and go do melee attacks head-on. Konstantin is tougher than Lara and the melee attacks are useless when he sees her. During the first part of the fight, look out for two pillars on each side of the room. Climb on top of one of them before Konstantin sees you.
If his laser sights are pointing down on the ground, this means he cannot see you. From the top of the pillar, you should see a prompt to press the Y button. Press it and Lara will attack Konstantin.
After a bit of a struggle, Konstantin will destroy the two pillars. However, you can still beat him. This is because you can craft some some some grenades.
There should be some grenades that you can craft that are on the floor. The X button should highlight where you can pick it up. Press the right bumper to craft it and then throw it at Konstantin when he’s not looking.
While he’s dazed and confused, attack him again from behind and that should end the boss fight. Just sit back and watch the cutscenes unfold. You’ve beaten Rise of the Tomb Raider.
