As you travel through Super Smash Bros. Ultimate‘s World of Light, there will be various barriers blocking your path or preventing you from progressing. Many of these barriers can be overcome if you have the right Spirit with you to help you through them. For one point on the map, you’ll need a Transport Pokémon to take you across the sea to reach an island. Here’s how to find one.

After you’ve crossed the large bridge in the middle of the World of Light map, you’ll soon come across a retro maze area. You’ll want to make your way to the south of this maze, which will take you to a beach area. Travel east (right) across the beach, battling and collecting Spirits along the way, and you’ll eventually come across a Spirit of the Pokémon Lapras. Like all other Spirits, defeat it in battle to add it to your team. Lapras does not actually need to be a member of your Party to be used in the overworld.

Now that you have Lapras, you can head back over to the west (left) side of the beach to where you need a Transport Pokémon to cross the sea. Interacting with this point where the beach and sea meet will cause Lapras to automatically come to your aid and take you across the sea to an island, where you can continue to progress through Super Smash Bros. Ultimate‘s adventure mode.
