Super Smash Bros. Ultimate How to Unlock Richter in World of Light

As you make your way through Super Smash Bros. Ultimate‘s World of Light, you may notice yourself missing some fighters as you get to the end of the adventure. One of these may be Richter, who can be hard to find if you don’t know how to find him. This article will explain how to find him, but be warned, as there will be spoilers, since you can’t unlock Richter in World of Light until after you’ve defeated antagonist Galeem.

After beating Galeem, you’ll be transported to a dark world with three paths heading in different directions. The path to the bottom right will eventually lead to a transport panel that takes you to Dracula’s Castle. This is where you can find Richter, and several other fighters, but getting Richter to show himself can be tricky. As you progress through the castle, you’ll notice that you have to kill ghosts by firing cannons at them. Richter will only appear once you’ve killed every ghost in the area. Keep in mind, however, that all the ghosts need to be dead at the same time, so if you kill a ghost but then use an hourglass to reset the area, that ghost will come back to (after)life and it won’t count.

Once you’ve defeated all the ghosts, Richter will appear just before the area’s boss. Fighting and defeating Richter will unlock him, making him playable in World of Light, as well as the rest of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
