How to Get to Dark Zone in The Division 2
To access the Dark Zone in The Division you’re going to need to complete an intro mission in the game. Each Dark Zone will become available after that mission. Since the game mode is PvP it is suggested that players have unlocked all the skills and have a robust set of weapons to ensure survival.
The different Dark Zone locations are labeled on the map with a purple biohazard symbol and a lock at the beginning of the game. You will need to unlock the Dark Zone locations in the East, West, and South before you can enter them.
How to Unlock the Dark Zone in The Division 2
Your first chance to unlock the Dark Zone is by upgrading the Theater Settlement to Level 3. You will need to recruit a couple of different characters for the settlement and complete mission objectives to do this. Once you have completed these requirements the intro mission to the Dark Zone will become available and you will be able to access the Dark Zone East.
Upgrading the Theater Settlement will include recruiting Inaya al-Khaliq and Grace Larson. You will also need to complete three missions. The third recruit will be Senait Ezera who is a Dark Zone officer. This will unlock the mission required for you to access the Dark Zone area.
What is the Dark Zone?
The Dark Zone is a PvP area where players will play both cooperatively and competitively for in-game rewards. The Dark Zone offers better loot than other areas of the game, but it’s highly risky as other players can turn on you and try to take it for themselves.
Where is the Dark Zone?
The Dark Zone is located in three different areas in the game. There is an Dark Zone East, Dark Zone West, and Dark Zone South. Each Dark Zone area is different from the others, but the requirements and level that you need to be to get in each one are the same. You will find the Dark Zones noted on the map initially with a purple Biohazard symbol. Once they’ve been unlocked you will find them in the far eastern, western and southern parts of the map.
