Unlike previous Call of Duty games, Call of Duty WW2 introduces a new mode into the game called Headquarters which is a base of operations for your character that allows you to do a number of different activities, earn rewards, and hang-out with fellow players.
One of the activities that you’ll be doing in Headquarters is the Prestige ceremony for both your general level and division. Once you’ve progressed far enough into the game to prestige either your base level or Division level, you’ll be able to access a new part of the Headquarters area that allows you to talk with the General for a Prestige Ceremony.
What happens when you prestige in Call of Duty WW2?
- You get a Prestige Unlock Token that allows you to unlock loadout items permanently
- Your rank resets to level 1
- Progress is kept for Division levels, Weapon levels, Challenge Progress and Customization Items
- Prestige Rewards — Access to a special set of Prestige Rewards and Challenges
- New Class Slot
The video below shows off the first Prestige level in Call of Duty WW2 by visiting the General in Headquarters.
There’s a secondary Prestige that can also be done for your Division in Call of Duty WW2 that will grant you access to a special weapon in each Division. In the same area of the Headquarters as the General, your Division Prestige does a couple of unique things for each class. For every Division Prestige weapon head here. As you can see, Prestige for the Airborne Division resets your level to 1, but allows you to keep your Player Rank and Weapon Levels, as well as Challenge Progress and Customization Items.
But the perks are that you have access to a new weapon. In this case it’s the MP-40 Submachine Gun.
