Call of Duty: Vanguard is launched to the masses and there have been many players starting their journey towards levelling their characters and weapons in Call of Duty: Vanguard. However, during the course of their gameplay of the latest title, several players have had issues with the server and connection problems to fix and try to get through. This guide will act as a FAQ for you to refer to in order to attempt to fix the Call of Duty: Vanguard server issues that may appear.

What Call of Duty: Vanguard Server Issues are Present At the Moment

The most reported issue at the time being is the ‘packet burst problem’ which appears near the minimap. This indicates that there will soon be lag and can be frustrating for players and decrease the user experience during a match when this occurs. There are various fixes that can be utilised to try and sort this issue but it will also be likely that the development team is working on looking into these issues at the time being.

The ‘packet burst error’ is when packets of data that the game needs to receive are stuck between the server and your game and arrive in notably ‘bursts’.

How to fix the Packet Burst Error and Other Connection Issues

One way to try and fix Packet Burst is by disabling ‘On-demand texture streaming’. This setting can be disabled by firstly opening the settings menu, navigating to the ‘Graphics’ section, proceeding to disable ‘On-Demand Texture Streaming’, and then rebooting the game for the effects to fully take place in the experience.

In terms of fixing other connection issues that may occur, this can be accomplished by trying the following steps:

  • Try restarting your router or rebooting your console
  • Test a wired connection instead of a wireless one
  • Check the connection speed
  • Ensure other bandwidth-intensive applications are closed while playing
  • Don’t use a VPN while playing
  • Pause any background downloads

These are some of the fixes that can be used in order to try and stop the connection issues that appear.
