2K Games announced not too long ago that the release date for WWE 2K22 had to be delayed until next year. In the same announcement, they also revealed more news about the game will be announced in January 2022.
There was some concern in the WWE video game community that 2K Games will be quiet for the rest of 2021 in regards to WWE 2K22 news being announced. However the game’s executive producer, Patrick Gilmore, announced on Twitter that he promises more news about the game should be revealed soon, but we should be patient.
You can read what he said posted down below.
“I’ve heard some concerns about WWE2K22 going quiet until January. The challenge is that creating updates like the #SummerSlam trailer requires support from development, and we’re trying to stay completely focused on making you the best game possible. Our marketing and community teams are 1000% supportive of our development focus. No promises, but we’re talking about ways to share more about our progress to keep you all in the loop, so you won’t have to wait until next year to learn more.”
In related news, he also announced that online support for both WWE 2K19 and WWE 2K20 will still be up by the time the new game releases in March 2022. However, the Road to Glory and MyPlayer PPV Tower modes in WWE 2K20 are ending September 26th, 2021.
WWE 2K22 will be out in March 2022. Platforms that the game will be available on are to be announced at a later date.
