Battlefield 3 Beta Helped Launch the Game Smoothly

The Battlefield 3 launch has been live for a little over 24 hours.  Thankfully for the stress test “beta”, DICE’s latest shooter has seen one of the smoothest launches in recent memory.  Whether looking at the console versions of the game, or the pc version of the game, gamers have found that the DICE servers have held up to the massive launch.

Barring a small hiccup on the Xbox 360 giving player’s thumbs a short repreive, the servers have been going strong.  Furthermore, the issues that had cropped up during the beta have been fixed, with only a handful of glitches found in the game.

While the beta might not have been the best move for DICE to show off Battlefield 3 in its unfinished form, if they were looking to convert Call of Duty players, for the Battlefield fans it made the game a much better experience at launch.

Battlefield 3 is currently available for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC and if you are a shooter fan, you owe it to yourself to check this one out.
