Bethesda Teases Mysterious Fallout 76 Game

A 24-hour long tease has finally come to an end with Bethesda teasing their next game, Fallout 76.  In a livestream where people hundreds of thousands of people tuned in to watch a bobble head “IRL” stream for the past day, the stream finally came to a close with Bethesda Game Studios’ Todd Howard appearing and showing off a trailer for what the developer said was their next game.

A short video was shown that revealed Fallout 76.  Even after the short tease it’s hard to imagine what this project is from BGS.  With the song “Country Roads” playing in the background and the number 76 in the title the easiest guess is to say that this is a new Fallout game with a rural setting and different Vault being the backstory for the game.

The only words in the short teaser come from a television clip where the following is said, “When the fighting is stopped and the fallout is settled, you must rebuild.”

This could be taken a lot of different ways.  Will Fallout 76 be a simulation/management game along the lines of what we saw in Fallout Shelter but for consoles?  It seems like this is certainly a possibility.  What was shown in the teaser appear to be the same graphical assets and visual style of Fallout 4.

Whatever Fallout 76 is we’ll be hearing more about it at E3 2018.
