While Gearbox Software’s next big game is set to be the multiplayer-focused Battleborn, that hasn’t stopped many people from asking about the future of the beloved Borderlands series. The developer recently said that they will be dropping hints about Borderlands 3 in Battleborn, though they have now revealed more information about the highly-anticipated sequel.

Gearbox recently did a panel at last weekend’s PAX East, where they shed a little more light on what the current situation is with Borderlands 3. CEO Randy Pitchford revealed that there absolutely is going to be another game in the Borderlands series, though the current focus is with Battleborn and its DLC.

He then teases about the Borderlands Easter eggs in Battleborn, saying “There’s already a lot of Borderlands Easter eggs in Battleborn. But they’re all from previous Borderlands games. So what if we put Easter eggs for future stuff in the DLC?”

Battleborn is set to launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on May 3rd.
