While I didn’t despise the game like many other gaming outlets around town, it’s still easy to point to Umbrella Corps as one of the weakest games to come out so far this year. This makes Capcom’s sudden decision to release a demo for the game all the more surprising, because everyone seems to have forgotten about it already.
The demo is only available for a limited amount of time, staying live for 48 hours from this morning to midnight tomorrow. The demo allows players access to the online modes and maps set in Raccoon City, RPD building and the Spencer mansion.
Players of the demo will also be able to play with people who currently own the full game, which is good seeing as the player base is already low enough as it is. The download size for the demo is 3.7GB, and you can download it through the PS Store by clicking right here.
While Umbrella Corps definitely isn’t a game I would recommend, there were still elements of it that were pretty cool. One of the maps is set in the village in Resident Evil 4, and it works very well in a multiplayer setting. Of course, that particular map isn’t included in the demo, so go figure.
