Bungie just issued a hotfix patch for Destiny that has eliminated the most popular loot farming technique in the game. The method utilized what players dubbed the “Loot Cave” or “Treasure Cave”, which was a cave in Old Russia that featured endlessly spawning enemies. Players could use this method to earn tons of XP and loot drops with little effort expended. With this exploit gone players will have to search for a new way to earn loot without having to play through Strike Missions over and over again.
We covered one of these other methods in our Destiny Loot Farming Guide, which can be seen here. Unfortunately due to Destiny’s reliance on multiple random elements when it come to loot most players feel the need to exploit the system to gain an edge in their search for better weapons and gear. With the Loot Cave gone players will likely fall back on older methods like the one we covered in the guide bove.
