It looks like fans won’t have to wait very long after the release of Destiny: The Taken King before they can dive into the expansion’s new Raid. Bungie has announced that The King’s Fall Raid will have a release date of September 18th at 10am Pacific Time. This is only three days after the initial release date for The Taken King, which is set for September 15th on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

Destiny fans have been waiting a while for this latest, and biggest expansion to the game. The Taken King is said to contain enough content to qualify as its own game, offering up a new location, new story elements, new weapons, items, and gear, as well as a new Raid. With the last expansion, House of Wolves, having infamously not contained a Raid, many have been highly anticipating The Taken King’s release.

When word hit that The King’s Fall Raid wouldn’t be available at the launch of The Taken King it disappointed many. It also led to a lot of speculation about the expansion, which has been criticized for a high price by some. Without the Raid would there be enough to satisfy fans on day one? Thankfully we don’t have to worry about that anymore as the Raid will hit just a few days later.
