Diablo 3 Season 2 is coming to an end and to coincide with that it will also be the end of Era 2 of Diablo 3.
For those who don’t know, an Era in Diablo 3 is similar to a season, except it has to do with the core game’s leaderboards instead of seasonal characters. It was announced earlier today on the official forums that the Era and Season ending will coincide with eachother.
“In Diablo III, an “Era” refers to a specific period of time in which non-Seasonal leaderboards are active. At the end of an Era, all current non-Seasonal leaderboard standings will be wiped and players will be unable to attain new leaderboard ranks until a new Era begins. Similar to Seasons, players will be able to view previous rankings in-game and as well as on our website.”
“At the end of Season 2, all heroes created during the Season will become non-Seasonal and will be able to compete on the Era 3 leaderboards.”
Era 2 and Season 2 is set to end on Sunday, April 5th. Era 3 begins immediately afterwards where, as previously reported, Diablo 3 Season 3 will start on Friday, April 10th. This gives fans a few days to relax before they jump right back into the Seasons to earn more of the season set that they have been working towards these past two Seasons of Diablo 3.
