Some gamers have voiced their concerns about Battlefield 3’s recent showing of console footage. They’ve claimed that the footage shown wasn’t quite up to par with what DICE has been showing up until now, which has been primarily the PC version. DICE recently responded to the criticisms, and as to be expected defended their game. Johan Andersson claimed “Why would anyone expect that console would look the same as PC?” With this console life cycle stretching longer than ever before, much better graphics are capable on PC than either the Xbox 360 or PS3.
DICE’s GM also chimed in on the console footage, and the disappointment from fans. He reminded everyone that the footage that was shown on Jimmy Fallon was still pre-alpha, with a lot of work that the company has to do to get the game ready for launch this October.
