The hugely popular toys-to-life game Disney Infinity 3.0 has launched today for the Windows 10 Store and Steam. The game is a free download for all, though there is a lot of in-game purchases, and you’ll have to get some figures to truly get the most out of it. The game is Xbox Live enabled, allowing you to seamlessly integrate it with your gaming experience on Xbox One.

“Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition for PC welcomes Star Wars™ to the ever-growing collection of Disney, Marvel, and Disney•Pixar characters, stories and worlds. Now, players can engage in an all-encompassing Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition console experience on PC. Additionally, Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition features mouse and keyboard support, which allows for an extremely intuitive building experience in the Toy Box Mode.”

Microsoft revealed that the Windows 10 version of Disney Infinity 3.0 is cross-save compatible with the Xbox One version. This means that if you own the game on Xbox One, you can just download and play it on your Windows 10 PC at no additional cost. On top of this, the transition from Xbox One to PC is made super easy as “all your console Toy Box toys on console unlock on W10 automatically.”

This sort of integration is all a part of Microsoft’s attempts to bridge the divide between their Xbox platform and PC gaming. Look for more of these in the future, including the Windows 10 version of Minecraft, which is currently in the testing phases.
