One of the main criticisms that older Gran Turismo games received in the past was that the cars sounded like vacuum cleaners. Polyphony Digital promises the audio has been improved for Gran Turismo Sport while PlayStation also uploaded new raw gameplay video of the game.
During PlayStation’s own livestream event at E3 2016, they talked with Kazunori Yamauchi who is the producer for Gran Turismo Sport. He mentioned that the process for capturing audio has changed as they used the best data possible. He also said that it takes an entire day to record audio for just one or two cars.
Yamaguchi didn’t stop there as he praised the new game like crazy. He is calling Gran Turismo Sport as the best GT game ever and that it is 100 times better than all of the previous games. This is mainly due to the power of the PS4 console as Polyphony Digital are able to achieve close to photo-realistic visuals. Extra effort has been done to the environments and not just the cars.
Sony uploaded new gameplay for the game at E3 2016. You can hear the audio is much deeper and less high-pitched like before. Not to mention it looks great in 60fps. Gran Turismo Sport is a PS4 exclusive and will be out on November 15th, 2016 in North America and November 18th, 2016 in Europe.
