EB Games Says Nintendo Not Making More Wii U Gamecube Adapters

According to EB Games Canada, Nintendo is not making anymore Gamecube Adapters for the Wii U at the moment.

A fan asked EB Games Canada on Twitter if they can get more Gamecube Adapters for the Wii U. As reported a few days ago, these bad boys have been selling out thanks to the release of Super Smash Bros. Many gamers love the old Gamecube controllers over the new Wii U Pro Controller for some reason. Obviously not many people love using the Wii remotes as a controller…

EB Games Canada said the following on Twitter: “Haha, apparently Nintendo isn’t making anymore at the moment :(“

There was supposed to be a new shipment coming in to some retailers next week for those that missed out on the Wii U Gamecube Adapters the first time around. After that, it looks like it may be a longer wait for more shipments to come out.

It appears Nintendo may have underestimated the demand for the Wii U Gamecube adapters. Super Smash Bros. sold over 500,000 copies in mere days so there are loads of players that would like the adapter.

The only other way to get Wii U Gamecube Adapters right now is online, but prices are too insane to even try. Best way is to use other controllers to play Super Smash Bros. at the moment.
