Square Enix’s UI Planner, Takahiro Noda, answered some fan questions on Final Fantasy XV over at the game’s official forum. It sounds like the game will have a character model viewer of some sort.

A fan asked if the game is going to have a character/enemy picture book. In other words, a character viewer that has featured in previous Final Fantasy video games. Noda said fans will be able to look at 3D models of characters, enemies, weapons and even food featured in the game. However, there aren’t plans for any other items to be included in this 3D viewer mode.

Final Fantasy XV will also have a CG gallery added as well, but Square Enix is not willing to share much info on this just yet. It was also revealed that Prompto (the blonde guy) automatically takes pictures during the journey and you can view the photos he takes.

With Final Fantasy XV development in its final stages, Square Enix also announced it will be shutting down the Japanese forums in favor for an official developer blog. This blog is set to be online on May 2nd, 2016.

It will be interesting to see if this date is an indication on the release date for the game. It’s speculated the game might be coming out in Summer 2016.
