The release date of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Square Enix, and Eidos Montréal’s take on the beloved team, is getting closer and closer, and as many fans were still working to clear the space needed on their disk to play the game, the developers of the game decided to take on Twitter to reveal its new file size on PC.

The announcement of the new size was made by the game’s developers on its official Twitter profile, where they revealed that Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is in its last stages of optimization and that right now, the final game will occupy approximately 80 GB on PC. an amazing feat taking into account the title’s previously revealed total size. The game’s Steam page was also updated to reflect the new value. In a reply on Twitter, the developers also pointed out that those planning on playing the game on PS5/PS4 need to have at least 50 GB of storage space ready. In Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, players will be able to embark on an insane intergalactic adventure, as they must take on the role of Peter Quill, also known as Star-Lord, the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy, and rally the team to stop a chain of catastrophic events sure to wipe out the galaxy. In the game, players will have to make a series of choices that will affect not only the relationship between the team but also the overall story. When in battle, Quill will also be able to make use of his role as the leader to command the Guardians in a series of dynamic battles, but not only that, since Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy will also allow players to experience the far corners of the galaxy and a series of different and exotic environments during their quest to save life as we know it.

With that said, the game’s new file size is by no means small, but it may be an indication of the magnitude of the experience, which will, according to its developers, be true to both the Guardians and their mythology.
