Halo 4 hit Microsoft’s Expert Zone recently with new details about the upcoming shooter.  The portal which is used for retail sales people unveiled new details surrounding the weapons, maps, missions and vehicles of the game.

The retailer marketing materials noted that there will be 10 new weapons in the game, 2 new vehicles, and of course we’ve already seen some of the new enemies at E3.  More notably,  the marketing material makes some big claims regarding the Spartan Ops mode.

“Spartan Ops is a great way to extend your single player or co-op multiplayer experience.  Each week, the Spartan Ops team will deliver 5 new missions for you to complete.  There are 10 weeks of Spartan Ops missions in season one.  These missions are introduced with a high-quality cinematic video so that you are well briefed before you embark on your mission.  Oh, and unlike most other games out there, season 1 of Spartan Ops is 100% free.”

The Spartan Ops content is also said to hold around 12 hours of incremental gameplay in either single player or co-op multiplayer modes.  We got a chance to go hands on with Halo 4 at E3 2012, for our preview of Halo 4 multiplayer, check out Ethan’s round of Regicide.
