Halo 5: Guardians Is Free To Play For A Week Starting Today

by Mike Guarino

The latest entry in the Halo series has been out for a while now, but if you’ve been curious to check it out then now is the time to do it. Halo 5: Guardians will be available to download and play for free later today, and will remain that way until July 5th.

Getting started is very easy, as you just need to find the game in the Xbox Store and get the download going. Of course, you’ll need to be an Xbox Live Gold member in order to access the game, but other than that you have complete access to everything that the game has to offer.

To make matters even better, if you play the game and find that you’re really enjoying it, the game is currently on sale for $30. Just be sure that you have a lot of space free on your Xbox One, as the download is a whopping 81GB. The promotion might not be live yet when you read this depending on where you are, but it will be up for everyone by the end of the day.

The next entry in the Halo series is set to be a spin-off called Halo Wars 2, which is the follow-up to the Xbox 360 game that launched in 2009. That game is set to launch for both Xbox One and PC on February 21st, 2017.
