Tom Clancy’s The Division is set to arrive on March 8th, and today Ubisoft has laid out a road map for what to expect from the game in the months following.  A mixture of free updates that offer new features and challenges, as well as full paid expansions to arrive later this year.

Next month, players will get the first free update for the Division, which introduces the first incursion.  These incursions are a “new challenging activity developed specifically for squad play.”  Beating these incursions will net players high-level weapons and equipment, sounding a lot like Destiny’s Raid content.

In May, a second free update will be released that adds new features to the Dark Zone, as well as a second incursion.

The first paid expansion for The Division is slated for June.  This will be focused on the underworld network of subways and tunnels of New York City.  Expansion two will also arrive in the summer, and will be survival themed, with players needing to gather essential supplies to survive.

Next Winter, the final expansion will arrive, in which Ubisoft says a new threat will rise that which players must defeat.

While the Division launches next week, don’t expect a review up for it on launch day.
