The Hitman Beta just concluded, but it looks like fans will get one more chance to try the game out before it launches on March 11th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Unfortunately, this new Hitman Beta will be a bit more locked down, being available exclusively to PS4 owners with a PS Plus subscription.
“As you know, we released the Hitman Beta on PS4 two weeks ago and gave you the chance to play the beginning of Agent 47’s illustrious career and see how he joined the ICA,” reads the announcement from Io-Interactive’s Travis Barbour. “It was a great feeling for us to finally see so many of you playing our game — and thank you for all the feedback you sent our way, too.”
“If you want to get in on the action but missed your chance with the first beta, we’ve got some good news. Starting on March 4th, we’ll re-open the PS4 Beta exclusively for all PlayStation Plus members. Mark your calendars as the Beta will only be around for that weekend.”
This is just one more thing that PS4 owners will get exclusively for Hitman. The Sarejevo Six DLC pack will also be exclusive to the PS4, giving an extra side-story involving a secretive paramilitary group called CICADA. The first of this pack will be available at launch for PS4.
A new piece of cinematic content was revealed alongside this news. The Legacy Opening is said to bridge the prologue, which players got to try out during the last beta, and the Sanguine Fashion Show in Paris, which is featured in the game. The new Hitman game is all about Agent 47’s origins, so expect some more time jumps like this in the final game
Hitman will release its first chapter on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 11th.
