The latest update for Minecraft on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 has begun rolling out now, according to 4J Studios. The full details can be found in this changelog, but the update includes a number of new items: Activator Rails, Redstone Comparator, Weighted Pressure Plates, and many more items. New mobs like Witches, Wither, Wither Skeletons, Bats, Horses, Donkeys and Mules have been added as well.
Alongside the new mobs and items in this update, new terrain generation features, fireworks, and a number of tweaks have been added to the game.
So when will this latest Minecraft update arrive on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Vita? 4J didn’t go into specific details, but said that this latest update would arrive “soon” for those platforms.
Microsoft’s recent purchase of Minecraft is likely going to continue to play a role in who gets the latest updates for Minecraft first. Back in September, Microsoft purchased the game and company behind it for a whopping 2.5 billion dollars.
