A few weeks ago we told you about a beautiful new game coming from Disgaea maker Nippon Ichi called Liar Princess and the Blind Prince. Now the company has announced more details on the project, including platforms and its release date in Japan. The game is coming to PS4, PSVita, and Nintendo Switch, and it’s a side-scrolling adventure with gorgeous 2D visual designs, that will be a delight for all fans of this kind of hand-drawn visuals.
Liar Princess and the Blind Prince’s title is a good description of the plot: A wolf monster with the ability to turn into a princess accidentally hurts the eyes of a prince, and decies to guide him through a forest seeking the help from a witch living deep in the woods. Each character has a unique set of abilities that allow them to overcome any perils and barriers they find in their way, such as enemies or puzzles they need to solve.
The game was conceived by a female developer who won a contest within Nippon Ichi to support young promises of the industry. It was originally revealed at the same even where the company announced a remake of the first Disgaea and the horror game Project Nightmare.
Liar Princess and the Blind Prince launches in Japan on May 31 for PS4, PSVita, and Nintendo Switch. A Western release date has still not been confirmed.
