Idea Factory has shared a new trailer of Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online, the new entry of the long-running RPG series that launches today for PS4 in North America, and this Friday in Europe. The video showcases the four protagonists of the game, or more like the avatars they take in a new virtual MMORPG based on their own story. These four ‘goddesses’ are Purple Heart, Goddess of Fate, Black Heart, Goddess of Prosperity, White Heart, Goddess of Order, and Green Heart, the Goddess of Fertility.
4 Goddesses Online changes the usual turn-based style of the battles in the series for a more direct hack ‘n’ slash approach, while keeping the distinct magical aesthetic of the series intact. Actually, the game puts a lot of emphasis on the styling of each character, allowing to customize almost every single aspect of their appearance, which will be a real treat for fans. The online aspects of the game are not only are represented in the plot, since players will be able to be joined by three friends to play in cooperative mode.
While the game was expected to launch simultaneously on PS4 and PC via Steam, Idea Factory has decided to delay the latter version to early 2018, in order to “ensure a smooth gameplay experience.”
