Nindies Showcase spring 2019

Nintendo Schedules Next Nindies Showcase for This Week

The Nintendo Switch continues to be the console of choice for many indie developers, as we saw with Nintendo’s Indie Highlights at the beginning of the year. After last month’s Direct presentation, and subsequent Pokémon Direct, another spotlight is set to be shone on indie titles as the next Nindies Showcase has just been scheduled for this week.

Nintendo recently announced that their next Nindies Showcase, a presentation of indie games coming to Nintendo consoles, is set for this Wednesday, March 20, at 9:00am PST/12:00pm EST. The showcase will undoubtedly show off a number of indie games set to come to the Switch sometime this year, with the 30-minute presentation seeming to focus on games coming out during or around this spring. (For those wondering, spring this year lasts from March 20 to June 21.)

It’s also worth pointing out that, once again, Nintendo has specified that this Nindies Showcase will focus specifically on indie games coming to the Switch, rather than splitting time between upcoming Switch games and whatever indie games may be coming to the 3DS (which are not many). Those wishing to tune in to this Nindies Showcase can watch it on Nintendo’s YouTube channel or right on Nintendo’s own website at
