Overwatch is heading toward the conclusion of its first season of competitive play, which means players are going to have to get ready to boost their stats. This is because they’ll be getting some sweet rewards once the end comes. Blizzard has broken down exactly when Overwatch Season 1 will end, and the rewards players can expect, check it out below.
“Season 1 will officially end on Wednesday, August 17 at 5:00 p.m. PT (August 18 at 12:00 a.m. UTC),” reads the announcement. “Season 2 is currently scheduled to launch on September 6, but this could shift as we continue to work on system improvements. We will be sure to share the exact date and time as we get closer to its release.”
Players who completed the initial ranking matches in Overwatch will receive a special player icon, with top performing players receiving even more goodies. “If at any point during the season you managed to break into the Top 500 players on your platform (and in your region), you’ll receive an extra player icon and animated spray on top of the other seasonal rewards.”
On top of this, players will receive a set amount of competitive points based on the highest rating that they achieved throughout Overwatch Season 1. The breakdown for how much players will receive is below:
SR 0-39: 10 CPs
SR 40-45: 20 CPs
SR 46-49: 40 CPs
SR 50-52: 60 CPs
SR 53-55: 80 CPs
SR 56-59: 120 CPs
SR 60-64: 200 CPs
SR 65+: 300 CPs
And that puts a capper on Overwatch Season 1. Season 2 should start on September 6th barring any unforeseen issues. What rating did you get throughout the season? Let us know in the comments.
