Bandai Namco teases brand-new Projekt1514 with a short teaser trailer

Bandai Namco are no stranger to teasing upcoming games extensively before their official announcements. In fact, back in April of this very year the Japanese company spent weeks hyping up the reveal of the third-person action game Code Vein using the slogan “Prepare to Dine”. While many were expecting, hoping and pleading for the company to reveal a new SoulsBorne game after the release of Dark Souls 3, it was not, and surprisingly Bandai’s reveal was still worth it and an era of hype has begun.

Now, Bandai Namco are at it again and the publisher have released a short teaser for an unknown project: Projekt1514. Showing nothing other than some panning shots of a ruined city–complete with shot out windows and barricades in the middle of roads because that’s totally safe–and the sounds of some distant gunfire, Bandai Namco have given us even less to go off than their last week-long tease did.

Bandai Namco’s site does offer us a short trickle of information surrounding the games premise stating: “Military battlefield, bullets, shots, and dark atmospheres are key elements of this trailer. Which world is this? What are they fighting for?” The statement still doesn’t give us much, but we can probably expect the game to at least feature shooting of some form… maybe. Or at least be shot at by something. Just…expect guns!

Projekt1514 is currently being developed by Dimps, the developer behind the Dragon Ball Xenoverse series of games as well as a large number of other Japanese titles ranging from Naruto to Gundam and My Hero Academia. While their titles are never stellar, Dimps’ current track record has been above average for the past few years. Let’s wait and see how this turns out.
